Wood Floor Varnishing and Finishing in Swindon

What You'll Pay and How We Quote

Finishing is quoted once we have seen the floor. The price depends on the size of the floor, its condition, whether it needs sanding first and the finish you choose. A floor that only needs a fresh coat is a much smaller job than a full sand and refinish, and we will tell you which yours needs.

We come out to you, measure up, look at what is underneath and give you a free quote before anything is ordered or started. There is no call-out fee for the visit.

What the Work Covers

The finish protects the wood and decides how the floor looks: matt or gloss, natural or rich in colour. On a newly sanded or newly fitted unfinished floor, lacquer goes on in several coats, rubbed down between coats for a smooth result, while oils and hardwax oils usually go on in two thin coats. On a floor that is still in good shape, a fresh coat can sometimes go on without a full sand, which brings it back to life with far less work.
